The no-soul myth actually comes from the Middle Ages, when people were very scientific and believed hair and green eyes were signs of a witch, a werewolf or a vampire.
Moore brought up how often she gets saddled with the ridiculous sexy-angry myth. It's been around for awhile; Jonathan Swift even mocked this idea in Gulliver's Travels.
